Luxardo Amaro Abano

A medium-bitter amaro Luxardo have made since 1952, named for Abano Terme, the Roman spa town in the Euganean Hills that has been running for five centuries. Wild herbs are infused with cardamom, cinnamon and bitter orange peel, along with condurango and cinchona, then sweetened.

Deep tawny brown, with gentian, clove, mint, orange and grapefruit zest on the nose. Lightly sweet on the palate, showing citrus zest, tobacco leaf, chocolate and piney quinine, and finishing on earthy chocolate and peppermint.
