Fee Brothers Orange Bitters
Fee Brothers call this one West Indian Orange, and the flavor comes principally from the skins of oranges grown in the West Indies, with gentian for bitterness. For decades it has been among the most used orange bitters in the world's bars, carried abroad in suitcases to stock bars in countries that could not yet buy it.
Pungent ripe orange zest on the nose, wonderfully fragrant, with a note of orange flower water. Slightly sweet on the palate, with gentian bitterness and pronounced zest oil, and a long bitter-orange finish. Essential to a Martinez, and welcome in a great many Martinis and Old Fashioneds.
