Bols Elderflower Liqueur

Made from the honey-scented blossoms of the elder, Sambucus nigra, cut fresh in early summer and steeped in a water and alcohol mixture to draw out the flavor.

Unusually for the category it carries no added citric acid, which leaves it more purely floral than most elderflowers, where citrus acidity tends to assert itself. Pale golden amber, with delicate potpourri elder blossom and a faint lychee note, clean and perfumed on the palate. Lengthen it with tonic and plenty of ice, or put it in a Hugo Spritz.
