Linie Aquavit

A Norwegian aquavit that earns its character the hard way, by going to sea. Caraway and star anise, rounded out by oloroso sherry oak and months of ocean swell.

Lysholm distills it from potatoes in pot stills with caraway, star anise and other Nordic botanicals, then fills the spirit into ex oloroso sherry casks and loads them aboard cargo ships. The barrels cross the equator twice, rolling through shifting temperatures and salt air before returning to Norway, and every back label records the ship and the route. Pour it at room temperature into a tulip glass with smoked salmon or cured meats, or stir it into a Nordic take on the Old Fashioned.
