Carpano Punt e Mes

A vermouth with an amaro's bitterness, created in 1870 and named after a Milan stock-market call, "point and a half". Over forty herbs and spices, orange peel and quinine among them, are blended with white wine for a bittersweet, orange-and-cocoa character. Good over ice with soda and an orange slice, and excellent in place of sweet vermouth in a stirred drink.
