Luxardo Amaretto di Saschira
$29.99
/
Luxardo's amaretto, where the almond character comes from the essential oils in the pits of cherries, peaches and apricots rather than from almonds themselves.
Burnished copper in the glass, with a pungent, attractive nose of toasted almond and marzipan. The palate is lightly syrupy, showing macaroon, toasted bitter almond, black tea tannins and zesty lemon, and finishes long on marzipan with a lingering burnt-toast bitterness. Made for an Amaretto Sour, and equally good in a Godfather.
